About Megan Hoback

Here to help you grow and make a positive impact on your life.

About Megan Hoback

I have always had a passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges, from sitting with them as they went through a difficult experience, to helping them sort through the negative thoughts and feelings, and when ready, helping them turn on a path that feels more aligned with who they aspire to be with self-confidence and a solutions oriented outlook. This passion has led me to become a Marriage and Family Therapist where I have the honor of helping others tackle their anxiety, build confidence in themselves, and learn how to hold themselves with more kindness.

I specialize in working with individuals who are aged 15 and older, couples who are facing a diverse range of challenges both relationally and in their shared external lives, and families who are struggling to reconnect and form healthy boundaries and communicate. I am dedicated to providing support that is uniquely tailored to your needs so that you can discover, or re-discover, purpose, balance, and joy within yourself and your relationships. I am committed to providing a safe and affirming space for all clients, including the LGBTQIA+ community.

As humans, I believe that community and connection are pillars to who we are and what helps us thrive, which is why I value community, not only for my client’s, but for my own life as well. I enjoy spending my free time with friends, family, and out in nature whether that be a rainy, snowy, or sunny hike in Washington and the incredible Pacific Northwest.

My Counseling Approach

I approach therapy and counseling through a client-centered, solution-focused, and strengths based lens providing empathy, compassion, openness, and understanding throughout your journey. Whether you’re an individual, couple, or family looking for support and guidance through your challenges, I will walk next to you as your guide and help you explore and deconstruct negative thought patterns, unhealthy communication cycles, learn how to resolve conflict in an effective and lasting way, and ultimately live a life that is more aligned with who you desire to be both as an individual and in relation with others.

I work with a variety of concerns in individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy which may include anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, self-compassion, self-esteem, communication, conflict resolution, infidelity and betrayal, creating healthy boundaries, ADHD, and major life transitions.

I work with couples who have a diverse range of challenges they are navigating. Whether you’re feeling like roommates and want to reignite the spark through marriage counseling or couples therapy, or maybe you’re searching for couples therapy for cheating, or you may be looking for an attachment-based therapist to help unlearn behaviors from childhood that are negatively impacting your relationship…Whatever challenges you are facing in your relationship, you deserve to be supported in a space that feels equal, balanced, compassionate, and solutions-oriented.

As mentioned earlier, I take a client-centered approach, blending elements of Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to meet your unique needs for growth. Together, we’ll explore your unique experiences and work toward your personal goals, helping you create a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.
